The End Gets Even More Supreme With Mezco’s New Previews Exclusive Supreme Knight: BatmanJose Lopez
Mezco Toyz finale to their Batman trilogy of action figures has already seen its regular release go up for pre-order not long ago. Following hot on the heels of that initial announcement, their Previews Exclusive take has arrived with a palette swap and a few differences with the many accessories.
Representing the Dark Knight in his golden years, the PX Supreme Knight goes with the blue, gold and yellow color motif this time around. Evocative of his more Caped Crusader-style look, Batman leans into that vibe even more with the longer-eared cowl. Rounding out the costume changes is the oval bat symbol on his chest, with a more slender bat silhouette than the chunkier one we saw on the regular version.
In the accessory department, the different bat symbol is again represented in Batman’s choice of batarangs, while everything from his “Equalizer” cannon to his Grappling Gun have more gold trim present. Discreet this Batman is not.
While both releases come with three interchangeable head sculpts, this Batman goes with an odd sort of-smiling head that, to be honest, just makes me think of Bill Cosby in all of those Jell-O commercials. That said, I appreciate the options.
While I’m a fan of the Dark Knight Returns Batman comic books and am perfectly happy with Mezco’s previous One: 12 Collective DKR figures representing Batman in his older age, the Supreme Knight figures excite me. Seeing Mezco’s own stylized take without the shackles of source material accuracy is a blast, and I’m eager to see what comes next with their own Mezco Direct Exclusives.
The Mezco Toyz One: 12 Collective PX Exclusive Batman – Supreme Knight Figure is up for pre-order now and is slated to drop sometime in Q2, 2020.
The PX Previews Supreme Knight depicts an older Bruce Wayne who has learned his way and honed his skills. Supreme Knight’s Bat Suit provides additional armored protection enhancements to compensate for the wear and tear that his years of crime fighting have taken on him.
A magnet in his collar allows him to switch between two leather-like capes: one with an integrated posing wire and one that drapes freely, and he employs an upgraded arsenal including a dual-blade karambit that folds, a multifunctional, non-lethal “Equalizer” cannon, grappling gun, and more! Each One: 12 Collective Batman: Supreme Knight figure is packaged in a collector friendly box, designed with collectors in mind.
