Colossus And Pyro Join The X-Men In Battle For New Iron Studios Statues

Iron Studios have announced two new mutants that are joining the battle in their growing 1/10 scale X-Men Vs. Sentinel Diorama Statue Series: Colossus and Pyro!

First up is everyone’s favorite steel-skinned Russian strongman. Colossus is one of those X-Men that have become one of their iconic members over the decades and part of why is his impressive and memorable appearance.

Iron Studios have done an excellent job sculpting and painting the hero’s metallic muscular frame, as he appears to tear a piece of the unseen Sentinel robot free.

Every bit of effort and strength that Colossus is utilizing is written on his face, which is a definite credit to the sculptors. Throw in the different textures on the various pieces of his costume and skin and you have a true work of art. Colossus has never looked better.

Not content to announce just one new addition to the fisticuffs, Iron Studios has also revealed the fiery member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Pyro.

While not quite as iconic as his steel-skinned partner, Pyro is a fan-favorite character and a well-known quantity to long-time X-Men fans. The villain’s outfit combines his classic colors and design with some modern flourishes that give everything a slightly more real-world appearance. The flames shooting out of Pyro’s flamethrower gauntlets look great, and the paintwork on the piece as a whole just accentuates everything that much better.

With the number of mutants taking on the Sentinels in this Diorama Series of statues, Iron Studios looks to be creating the definitive X-Men centerpiece for fans and collectors alike. I cannot wait to see what’s next!

Both the X-Men Battle Diorama Series BDS Art Scale 1/10 Colossus Statue and the X-Men Battle Diorama Series BDS Art Scale 1/10 Pyro Statue are available for pre-order now and are slated to release Q4, 2020.

Colossus Description

On a base reminiscent of the remains of a concrete column, which was once part of Mansion X, a giant with chromed skin and furious countenance prepares to throw metallic debris, parts of his opponent against himself, a relentless robot exterminator of mutants called Sentinel.

This scenario describes the statue “Colossus BDS Art Scale 1/10 – Marvel Comics”, a release that brings the good Russian giant friend of the X-Men to the battle diorama scenario of Mutantes vs. Sentinels from Iron Studios. Created by Len Wein, Dave Cockrum and Chris Claremont, the young Russian Piotr “Peter” Nikolievitch Rasputin was born a mutant and grew up on a farm in Siberia, in the extinct Soviet Union. From a humble family, his mutation allows him to transform his whole body into a type of organic steel on the outside, while his internal organs are converted into pure energy; this gives him super strength and a body armor that makes him almost invulnerable. Invited by Professor X, he founded the second formation of the X-Men. In contrast to his gross appearance, Colossus has a peaceful and even innocent nature, characteristics explored with good humor in the film Deadpool, where the hero has a great participation.

Pyro Description

In a scene of devastation and fire, he is one of the few characters who feels comfortable. Iron Studios presents one more figure part of its grand X-Men vs. Diorama. the Sentinel robots under Magneto’s control, “Pyro BDS Art Scale 1/10 – Marvel Comics” features the Australian fire-manipulating mutant, antagonist of the X-Men and a member of the Brotherhood of Mutants, firing flames from his fists and ready to take on his control. St. John Allerdyce, better known as Pyro, has the power to control the fire psionically, it can increase, decrease the heat, intensity and size, and even shape the fire in the form of animated semi-solid constructs. He can manipulate fire, but not create it, so he uses a flamethrower on his back to deliver the precise flames fired from his fists. Although raised as a villain by the masterful duo John Byrne and Chris Claremont, who revitalized the X-Men in the 1980s, Pyro has already become an agent of the U.S. government in exchange for total forgiveness, a member of the team known as the Freedom Force.
