The X-Women Shine With Iron Studios New Emma Frost And Jean Grey Statues

It’s time for the ladies to get their spotlight in the Iron Studios X-Men line and, boy, what ladies they are. The big guns of the X-Men have arrived with the pre-order announcements of both Jean Grey and Emma Frost in the BDS Art Scale X-Men Vs. Sentinel Series!

I’m a huge X-Men fan, so every announcement that has been made has filled this X-Fan’s heart with glee. That said, I’m a particularly big fan of writer Grant Morrison’s run on New X-Men, which paired up these two ladies in some interesting and dramatic ways. So having these two be announced so close together has truly stoked my excitement.

Emma Frost, also known as the White Queen, looks suitably regal and snide, as she appears to walk over the remains of a downed Sentinel. She’s holding her hand to her head, presumably using her telepathic abilities to make some poor schmuck do horrible and embarrassing things.

I’m happy that the sculptors decided to go with a mixture of her Hellfire Club and X-Men outfits, as I would have been sad to not get that dynamic cape flowing behind her. The outfit also manages to straddle the line of risqué and refined, which is not always easy when trying to present sexy superheroines for the masses. Kudos to Iron Studios for finding that middle ground.

Not quite as eye-catching but just as impressively powerful and beautiful is original X-Man, Jean Grey. Pictured here in her 1990s-era costume designed by superstar artist Jim Lee, Ms. Grey looks fierce.

Floating upon a colorful display of her telekinetic powers and seemingly concentrating on using her abilities to do some damage, this piece just screams badass.

I am eager to add both ladies to what is shaping up to be the most epic of X-Men displays, so 2021 can not come soon enough for this X-Fan.

Both the Iron Studios Marvel Comics Jean Grey BDS Art Scale 1/10 Statue and the Iron Studios Marvel Comics Emma Frost BDS Art Scale 1/10 Statue are available for pre-order now and are slated to release Q2 of 2021.

“Floating on waves of psionic energy, the greatest telepath (even superior to Prof. X and Emma Frost) in the Marvel universe, rises amid the rubble of Mansion X, focusing on its mutant Omega-level power, feared by even the most powerful enemies. Originally known as Marvel Girl and then Phoenix, Iron Studios could not help adding to the most grand battle diorama with collectible statues of the X-Men ever produced, the figure of “Jean Gray BDS Art Scale 1/10 – Marvel Comics”, with the heroine using her powers against the Sentinels manipulated by Magneto. In addition to being a powerful telepath, telekinetic and psionic, when Jean becomes an avatar of the Phoenix Force, she gains control over cosmic fire, temporal manipulation and resurrection skills. Along with Cyclops, in addition to founding members of the X-Men, the two are still one of the oldest and most beloved Marvel couples.”

“Imposing and sensual, Emma Frost, also known as “White Queen”, walks among the rubble of the demolished Mansion X and pieces of scrap from a Sentinel’s head, concentrated with her mental powers focused on overcoming her enemies. Endowed with great telepathic powers and the ability to transform her body into a diamond shape, she emerged as a villain during one of the most iconic X-Men stories ever made: The Dark Phoenix Saga, as a member of the Hellfire Club, a secret criminal society of mutant aristocrats. Subsequently, the Generation X group was formed alongside the X-Man Banshee, and later became a member of the X-Men.”
