Iron Studios continues adding more and more mutants to their massive X-Men Vs. Sentinels battle diorama, including the two newest additions: Deadpool and the Blob. The characters can be purchased as standalone figures but when displayed with the earlier releases, collectors are sure to be impressed with the overall effect on their shelves.

Deadpool, everyone’s favorite Merc’ with a Mouth, is actually not a mutant but has served on a few X-teams in his day. Pictured here in full Unicorn- fanboy mode, Wade Wilson is wearing a unicorn backpack and is balancing one leg on a unicorn plushie. This guy loves unicorns and is proud of it!

While I love the oddball fetish on display here, really selling the silliness of the anti-hero, it’s probably the small detail of a Wolverine pin on DP’s chest that makes me chuckle the most.

Speaking of ridiculous characters, the Blob is a longtime X-Men foe and sometimes member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Measuring in at about 8.5 inches tall, this one is a big boy.

I love that they sculpted him carrying the destroyed remains of the Xavier Institute symbol. It’s the sort of thing that could easily imply the Blob himself is responsible for the destruction if a collector wanted to display him on his own. Posed with the larger Sentinel battle diorama, however, an entirely new reasoning for his carrying the sign is evident. Variety is key here and I’m a fan of switching it up.

As he would describe … Bouncing forward against my enemies, I, the Crimson Comedian, the scourge of the Chimichangas, the Merc with a Mouth, the Regenerating Degenerate, the Red, Wade Wilson, or as you know me better, Deadpool, coming for action, reaction, and fun in one more of the best collectible statues from Iron Studios!

Bearing my simple and discreet arsenal of weapons and accessories, as an intrepid and courageous Canadian hero (*modesty limits me to other adjectives), I jump as if riding an imposing plush unicorn (I have no idea how he got there), wearing my modern utility combat backpack, amid rubble of the demolished old Mansion X (*which I never really insisted on entering), I´m ready to defend my allies, against whoever I determine my target, to launch a warning dart (*or a dart with poison?) …

Anyway … This is how Iron Studios presents Deadpool, a spectacular statue approved by the “Pool” quality control. With an extra interchangeable head, Deadpool arrives to add to the X-Men battle diorama, but also, in addition to working well individually, as the character acts more regularly, he can compose different scenarios according to the collector’s wish, on different sides , as an allied hero of the X-Men, his most common role, as an enemy mercenary, after all, if Magneto pays well, like the torment of Cable, his original rival in the comics … Who knows? After all, Deadpool is unpredictable.

Moving forward and ready to throw a heavy metallic plate symbol of the Xavier Institute, the bulky mutant known as Blob expresses all his satisfaction and fury with a malicious smile plastered on his face, on a base where step by step, his heavy footprints raise the stones of the ground around Mansion X. Thus Iron Studios proudly presents “Blob – Marvel Comics – BDS Art Scale 1/10 – Iron Studios”, with the gigantic villain adding more weight to the Marvel mutants diorama.

Fred J. Dukes from an early age gained body mass abnormally. Thanks to his mutant powers, he got a decent but humiliating job as a freak show, taking on the name of Blob. Approached by Magneto, he later founded the Brotherhood of Mutants and became one of the most constant villains in the Marvel Universe. Blob has an immensely fat body, which gives him super strength and invulnerability. When it sticks to the ground, no force is able to move it.

Blob arrives to add one more iconic character from the universe of Marvel mutant heroes and villains, who are part of the colossal battle diorama between the X-Men and their allies, against the giant Sentinel robots controlled by Magneto and his Mutant Brotherhood, but that they will also be able to compose different scenarios according to the wishes of each collector, creating different formations with their favorite characters, as well as representing each one very well in their Marvel collection.
