Hot on the heels of her super speedster twin brother, Marvel’s Scarlet Witch has been revealed to be getting her own statue from Iron Studios! Wanda Maximoff will be the latest character joining the 1/10th scale X-Men Battle Diorama series.

Despite being known these days as more a part of the Avengers universe, the Scarlet Witch was for many years the daughter of Magneto. She and her brother, Quicksilver, even served as some of the first members of the villain’s original Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. While even Marvel Comics doesn’t often reference that past, it’s nice to see that Iron Studios has chosen to remember it.

Wanda looks fantastic as she’s wielding her chaos magic to levitate over the remains of the Xavier Institute. The red energy effect looks great, as does the long, flowing cape behind her. The statue is measuring in at just under 14 inches tall, which should make her stand out amongst the many other proximity pieces in this series.

I was never a huge fan of the Scarlet Witch in her comic book incarnation, but I always enjoyed her role in X-Men and Magneto stories. Having the mutant witch appear in the epic battle that Iron Studios has designed with this line is a lot of fun and I’m eager to see who they’ll bring in next.

“She can control Chaos Magic, which allows her to manipulate probability and even distort and change reality itself. On an old column chime clock base with the rubble from a heroes’ mansion, she floats with her power. Sending a subliminal message as if she were bending time and space, Wanda Maximoff, also known as Scarlet Witch, manipulates bundles of supernatural red energy with her hands, and her imposing presence intimidates any opponent. As if she came straight out of the pages of the Marvel comics, she joins forces with her twin brother sprinter Quicksilver previously revealed by Iron Studios.

Created by the legendary Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1964, Wanda was born on Wundagore Mountain, in the fictional Transia – Eastern Europe, and, together with her brother, was once considered Magneto’s mutant daughter. Recently it was revealed that both were enhanced by geneticist called High Evolutionary. Initially, she joined the Brotherhood of Mutants and later, along with her brother, was recruited by the Avengers under the command of Captain America. Wanda was adapted in the MCU and played by actress Elizabeth Olsen but gained greater prominence and worldwide popularity in the series WandaVision. As in the films, television series, and comics, Wanda also was involved in a romance with the synthezoid Vision, whom she married. Unlike the series, in the comics, she was trained by the witch Agatha Harkness to become one of the most powerful manipulators of magic on Earth.

As a figure that is part of the X-Men vs. Sentinels Diorama, which is controlled by Magneto, Scarlet Witch can defend alongside her brother and mutant heroes, but also to join her mystical forces with the Master of Magnetism and his Brotherhood. It can also, individually, complement the team of the most emblematic statues of the Avengers. It all depends on each fan and collector, as multiple probabilities are Wanda Maximoff’s specialty.”
