Get 3 Jokers For The Price Of One With New Iron Studios Deluxe DC Comics Joker StatueJose Lopez
The Joker just got three times as dangerous with Iron Studios newest 1/10th scale statue of the Clown Prince of Crime. Standing at 9 inches tall and giving collectors a variety of different incarnations of the character, this piece is available for preorder now and looks absolutely crazy.
Released in both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition, this 1/10 Art Scale Joker statue is sculpted to perfection and will go perfectly with the studio’s Batman pieces in the same scale. The Standard version depicts the more modern take on the insane criminal, taking a design from the New 52 era of DC Comics. Specifically, this Joker’s portrait is based on artist Greg Capullo’s interpretation from the “Endgame” storyline.
Standing atop a base that has plenty of Easter eggs from the villain’s past in the comics, such as Ace Chemicals gas canisters, a batarang, chattering teeth and a holding a crowbar, this statue is a solid piece.
The Deluxe Version pushes things up a notch, offering two additional portraits and some extra elements to the base. The two head sculpts, giving us another New 52-look for Joker and a more Silver Age rendition, are amazing and I just love that Iron Studios went this route. Both statues are great, but I am thoroughly impressed with the Deluxe.
The Iron Studios Joker 1/10 Art Scale Statue, in both Standard and Deluxe Versions, is available now for preorder. Both are slated for release in Q3, 2021.
“One of the greatest villains in comics, and Batman’s greatest archenemy, The Joker was created by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson, and inspired by actor Conrad Veidt in the 1928 film “The Man Who Laughs” and a playing card. Crazy and always smiling, he made his debut in Batman #1 in 1940. His origin, as well as his real name, are a mystery to this day.
On a base, he poses as if he is walking between cylinders, connections, and pipes, which refers to the scene of “Ace Chemical” in Gotham City, the villain’s birthplace. With a Batarang stuck in a metallic sphere at his feet, the Prince Clown of Crime, with his unmistakable smile, is carrying a crowbar in his right fist. He stands ready to shoot some chemical and acidic substance, from the flower in his lapel, another one of his trademarks.”
