You can’t keep a good horror franchise down and this time, that franchise is the killer doll classic, Child’s Play. Besides the recent film reboot, there’s also a new SyFy television series entitled Chucky that will follow the adventures of the sadistic titular character in a continuation of the original films’ continuity. That means its the perfect time for Iron Studios to premiere the preorder for the own take on Chucky, this time inspired by his appearance in Child’s Play II.

While I admittedly lost track of the films after the third entry in the series, I do have fond memories of Child’s Play II and watching it in the cinema. There are plenty of things to be said about the various sequels, but them not being fun is definitely not one of them.

Iron Studios has captured the demented Good Guy doll that has been possessed by the soul of serial killer Charles Lee Ray quite nicely, as the figure stands ready to dish out some pain. The base he’s standing atop, a conveyor belt from the factory that builds the dolls, is a nice nod to the origins of the character and film in question.

Based on how great this piece looks, I’m eager to see what else Iron Studios has in store with the Child’s Play property!

The Child’s Play II Chucky 1/10 Art Scale statue arrives to add another cinema icon to Iron Studios’ horror line! The unmistakable red-haired doll stands on the treadmill of one of the machines at the Play Pals toy factory, where his plastic body was manufactured just like in the second film of the franchise. The doll appears with its lethal knife inserted in one of his fists, a sadistic smile on its face, and its big blue eyes focused on its next victim.

The character, one of the most popular in contemporary horror, was created by Don Mancini in the 1988 film Child’s Play and was played by actor Brad Dourif, both in live-action and voice-over.

Chucky is the forerunner of a seven-film franchise and will get a TV series, which will premiere in October of 2021, in celebration of Halloween.
