Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Netflix Punisher Review

Frank Castle is the latest release from Mezco Toyz adaptations of the popular Marvel Netflix universe characters. Inspired by his appearance in season 2 of Daredevil, this figure is a more grounded take on the Punisher. While the figure itself looks great, it’s value is weakened by limited accessories and difficult posing. The Punisher’s own Netflix solo series may not be the best representation of the character from the comics, but Jon Bernthal’s performance definitely makes it hard to see anyone else in the role. Despite its shortcomings, this release is one to keep an eye out for. DESIGN 10/10 This version...

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Commissioner Gordon and Bat-Signal Review

There are some supporting characters that can become so ingrained in a franchise that it can be difficult imagining said franchise without them. James Gordon definitely fits that bill, whether as Commissioner, detective or captain. The face of the Gotham City Police Department in the Batman mythos, Gordon finally gets the One:12 Collective treatment, ahead even of other, more obvious choices like Robin or Batgirl. Released as one of three San Diego Comic-Con 2019 exclusives, Gordon is packed in with another important icon from the Batman world, the Bat-Signal. Photo: Calvin Le Overcoming most One: 12 fans’ doubts about the Gomez figure with the initial “Agent Edition” release, Mezco Toyz decided to double-down on the character fairly quickly with this “Street Edition” entry. Released as a San Diego Comic-Con 2019 exclusive, Street Gomez takes everything lovers of the initial iteration enjoyed and gives it a more casual, funky flavor. Let’s take a look. The packaging here isn’t as visually interesting as the second release of the Agent Edition that came with a comic book, unfortunately. It’s actually the exact same black box as the Toy Fair version, just with a sticker...

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Gomez: Agent Edition (w/ Comic) Review

When Mezco first hinted that they would be giving their mascot the One:12 Collective treatment, most fans and collectors balked. In this community, everyone has an opinion of what character should be released next. Giving people something they didn’t even ask for is a definite fast track to lots and lots of Internet griping. However, when the first Agent Gomez was released during Toy Fair, many saw the error of their ways. Gomez was a fantastic figure, and, most importantly, a lot of fun. This past week has seen the re-release of everyone’s favorite dapper cockroach, this time with even...

Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Joker: Clown Prince of Crime Edition Review

THE CLOWN PRINCE OF CRIME is the latest Summer release from Mezco Toyz, and the second Joker in the One:12 Collective. This take on the character seems to be influenced by punk and rockabilly styles which is something we don't traditionally see from the character outside of the version of Joker we saw in the film Suicide Squad. Initially I was not a fan of the overall design because of the color and style choices but in hand the figure does look really great. While the figure does not come with a ton of accessories compared to other One:12 Collective...
